After building a custom loader for Astro to load content from PocketBase, I wanted to make the developer experience even better. In this new article, I show you how I built an integration with a custom toolbar for viewing and refreshing PocketBase entities, complete with realtime updates.

Astro 5 introduces a new Content Loader API, that allows you to load content (e.g. for blog posts) directly from an API instead of only from local markdown files. With my new package astro-loader-pocketbase you can easily integrate your existing PocketBase database with the new Astro Content Layer!
It's time to take a look behind the scenes of my biggest and most successful project to date - the "Forum für Antike und Gesellschaft." During the construction of this website, I familiarized myself with numerous new techniques and dealt with many challenges. From fine-tuning the SEO strategy to hosting the website, backend, database and more. Every step was a lesson.

Wait, wasn't Rainbow Palette already around for a while?
Yes, but now the first, real 1.0 version is finally here. After a complete overhaul of the code and UI, it was now time for this step. From now on, the project's codebase is no longer at the level of a hobby project, but rather at the level of commercial software. This makes it even easier to add new features or for outsiders to collaborate on the project.
And that's not all. Rainbow Palette is now officially available at rainbow-palette.app! Since this release has changed so much, it was time for the project to move under its own domain and no longer live hidden as a subdomain.

Web development is constantly changing. Every week new frameworks and hundreds of innovative tools are released. I also enjoy experimenting with these new tools. Some of the experiments are successful, others will probably never see the light of day. During these experiments, however, there is always a lot to learn, which can also be transferred to previous development. So I decided to start a small blog and share some of my new knowledge with the world.
One month ago I stumbled upon HTMX and thought what an interesting concept. After that I started reading more about it, which lead me to holding a talk about it at FrankenJS Würzburg and to this blog article.
After a few years' break and a pandemic, we want to revive the Würzburg offshoot of the FrankenJS Meetup. I myself will be presenting HTMX as the third speaker, a framework with the goal of creating an application using only HTML tags and without JavaScript.
The meetup will take place on Thursday, October 26th, at 6 p.m. in the premises of snapADDY GmbH, and beer, food (also vegan) and a good atmosphere will be provided.
The "Forum für Antike und Gesellschaft" of Classical Philology at the University of Würzburg has a rich collection of resources for Latin lessons, created by students and suitable for both teachers and students.

Version 0.1.3 of my color generator 'Rainbow Palette' has just been released. Together with the major redesign from version 0.1.2 and now the PWA support, the page can now be easily installed on your PC via Chrome or on your mobile phone and then even used offline.

With version 3 of this site, there is a new web server. And a new homepage with promotional images and more text about me and my projects. Everything is optimized down to the smallest detail for mobile devices and search engines. Feel free to have a look around here!

Vor einer Woche kam das nächste Update für BeatSaber, in welchem der nächste Teil des OSTs veröffentlicht wurde. Auch diese vier Level werden jetzt von RandomSaber unterstützt.
I have great news for you! Based on user feedback, I've added some new features to Randomizer to make the gaming experience even better.
You can now view the history of the current round to get a better overview of your games. There is also now a filter in "Letters" mode that allows you to exclude the letters Q, X, and Y to make games like City, Country, River a little easier. For the other game modes, I have also added some small setting options to improve the gaming experience.
And that's not all! There is now also an automatic timer in Bingo mode, so you can concentrate even more on the game itself and no longer have to continue it yourself.
